Music Education

Latidos provides music lessons for children and youth ages 3-17. It also serves the families of these children, and the communities in which we are present. Latidos carries out formative and integrative projects for the children and youth which come from 10 neighborhoods in the west of Barquisimeto, with the possibility to continue extending to other communities on the local, national, and international level.

Forming the Whole Person

Latidos looks to guide our students not only as musicians, but as conscientious citizens of our world. We offer them leadership workshops and retreats of faith formation. In our retreats, we reflect how to live a life in service to one another and our world, creating a more just and sustainable society. In this time of economic and social crisis in Venezuela, many Venezuelans are faced with the temptation to leave the country. Latidos strives to give our children and youth pride in Venezuelan music and culture, and the skills to lead their peers to create a more peaceful country in years to come.

Wellbeing

Our programs are curated for two different age groups, so every Latidos strives to attend to the physical and psychological needs of our students and families. to provide our students with a nutritional snack when they attend their classes. Additionally, we provide psychological support to children and families in need. Our on-staff psychologist provides one-on-one care to children in need of this support, and helps their families strategize to provide the support this child needs and deserves. offers the appropriate level of engagement for your little ones.

Our Mission

Latidos strives to impact change in our community through music. Our vision and mission is to accompany children and youth in their process of discovering themselves as potential promoters of life and peace, putting their talents to this service. We aim to form the citizens that this planet needs to ensure a humanity that is more fraternal, healthy, democratic, just, free, and ecologically sustainable.
